There's nothing worse than making all of the necessary preparations to enjoy an hour of the next episode of House only to be reminded by a business associate that there is an important mandatory business meeting at the exact time House is set to air. Or, even worse, to discover the cable company is experiencing a problem which has knocked out the cable service in the entire viewing area.
It can be quite frustrating knowing that other House fans are getting their weekly fix of the offensively brilliant doctor while a small group of people are deprived. Not being able to record the missed episode of House means that some fans will have missed a crucial episode of the current season.
How to Watch Recently Missed Episodes of House
There is hope for House fans. Although fans will have to wait eight days before the missed episode is aired in its entirety, fans of the TV show can catch the missed episode online. That means that no matter what situation arises on the night that House airs, fans can rest assured they will be able to view the episode at a later date even if they don't have a VCR or TiVo. All that is needed is a computer and an internet connection.
- Go to the House program page on the Fox TV website at www.fox.com/house
- Click on the "Watch Full Episodes" icon
- Download and install the Fox video player. The video player is a quick and easy install that improves the viewing experience. It prevents the video from stopping due to buffering limitations and provides HD clarity even when viewing the video in full screen mode.
- After installing the Fox video player, navigate through the Fox website to find the specific episode that was missed. Click on the title of the episode, sit back and enjoy.
One word of caution, however; the Fox website will only show the current season. Anyone looking for earlier seasons will have to go to sites such as Hulu.com or Fancast.com which display the current and some full episodes of the prior season. Therefore, if House is currently airing season 6, Hulu and Fancast may have some episodes from Season 5. Unfortunately, House fans are unable to watch earlier seasons for free.
