» marygflute - Do you use holisitic therapies or alternative medicines?

I have used chiropractic, acupuncture and herbal remedies for my dogs. I would like to use more alternative therapies for my dogs as I use them for myself, however, the cost of herbal medications is high and are never covered by pet insurance companies. If my dog were to contract cancer, I would go to a holistic vet regardless of the cost. I believe that treating the root of the problem is more important than treating the symptoms. Martin Goldstein is now becoming world reknown for his holistic treatment of cancer - a disease in which traditional veterinarians seem to not be able to cure with much success. I don't believe that even a penny of Goldstein's treatment would be covered by any pet insurance companies. The only reason I would get pet insurance is for emergency injury coverage.
